Ali, from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, said: “I found the video after he died and we said, ‘Oh my God, he’s screaming there’s a butterfly.’ I cried. “I watch videos of him every day. I happened to take so many photos of him all these years. “It’s not even the beginning of what I look back on. “I shared the video because I want him to be remembered and honored and to be aware of what is happening. He was the happiest boy. He was everyone’s best friend. He was so funny that he made me cry. He was fearless. “He liked to sing and dance. He was the best and he was so smart that the teacher said he was two years ahead of all the other kids. “It was a nightmare. Every day is a struggle to wake up. The only thing that keeps me going is to help raise awareness. “I do not want his death to be pointless. Not only did I lose my son, I lost my life. I am no longer a mom. My people were 24 hours a day, 7 hours a day, Grayson, I was making him lunch. meal, took him to places. “I have bills to pay, so if I do not get out of bed in the morning, I’m homeless.” Greyson Kessler was found dead with his father John Stacey, 47 ( Picture: Kennedy News and Media) Ali was trying to issue a restraining order against Stacey after he sent her abusive messages and found a tracker attached to her car, but her application was rejected the same day Greyson was killed. Ali says the couple met on an app in New York six years ago and although they were dating, they never had a relationship. She moved to Florida and found out she was pregnant, but Stacey insisted she did not want any part of the pregnancy, so Ali was shocked when he moved to the same state and applied for 50% custody when Grayson was six months old. However, Stacey became more and more jealous when Ali started dating someone else and started flooding her with annoying texts. Stacey wrote in a message: “You ruined my life, you idiot.” In another eerie message, he said: “You are trying to get a restraining order because of messages. “This would be disastrous for my career, I hope you know, the support of the children would evaporate and further ignite the flames. “If you do not answer, I will assume it is yes.” The day Ali was in court trying to get a restraining order, Stacey failed to let Greyson go to school and so he showed up at his apartment with a police escort, but there was no response. Ali claims that the police told her there was nothing they could do because Greyson was with a parent who let her frantically search for her own son. Ali said: “We did not date for a long time, so it’s not like we were in a relationship. He did not want to be part of the pregnancy and he did not want to be in our lives. I had the baby and he was not even on the birth certificate. he was six months old, he sued me for 50% custody and he won. “She moved here and tortured me for five years. “During pregnancy she sent horrible messages saying that I am a terrible person and that it was not a way to raise a child. “He humiliated me and told me what a horrible person I was. He was harassing me, sending me 60 messages at a time and there was nothing I could do. “The pattern was not very normal. It made my life miserable. I tried to ignore him unless it was directly about Grayson. “I started going out and he was very jealous, he put a tracker in my car and I felt that they were following me, so I went to my car in a store and they found a tracker. “He was sending horrific messages saying that he wanted to see my head split from my body, he wanted to see me as miserable as he was. “In the end, when I received these messages, I tried to get a restrictive order, but he refused the same day and that night Grayson’s father came to pick him up and I had to give it to him. The next day. he was dead. “ “I called his teacher and he was not going to school. I asked for a police escort to go to his apartment and knock on the door, but no one answered, so they said they could not do anything because he was with a parent. “I called the police about six times that day. I was frantic and I was looking for him. I was panicking all the time from 8 in the morning. I thought maybe he had taken him out of the state. “I got in touch with the owners of the apartment and a locksmith who entered the apartment at 23:00 and knocked on my door at 5 in the morning and they were both dead with gunshots from the previous day.” Ali shares the video to help raise awareness about domestic violence and is campaigning for Greyson’s law to help protect children at risk of harming their parents. He has also created a website called GreysonsChoice.org. Ali said: “If someone hurts another person, he should not have a child in his care. “I never expected him to hurt Grayson. It’s anyone’s worst nightmare. I knew he was not well or normal and there were red flags, but never in a million years did I think he would kill his own four-year-old son. You must be wrong. I should have had the help. All I asked was to protect myself. I asked for help and they refused. “Every day I get messages from someone asking for help or advice because they are in a similar situation. It’s crazy. It brought me close to other women who have gone through exactly the same thing, who have lost their child and it’s crazy how many of us there are.” In the months before his death, Stacey shared on Facebook that she had donated to PAPYRUS Suicide Prevention Charities, the American Suicide Prevention Foundation and the National Suicide Prevention Line.
