Officials say the fire has burned at least 600 acres and has been reduced by 10%.
The flames are approaching the Batsto Village area.
Batsto Village and all related hiking and mountain biking trails are closed to visitors. The Mullica River Campground, the Mullica River Trail and the boat launches along the Mullica River are closed from the Atsion recreation area to the village of Batsto.
Pinelands Adventures has suspended kayaking and canoeing and Campground Paradise Lakes has been evacuated by fire.
No injuries were reported.

Officials say the fire reached 7,200 acres in size, extending to the cities of Washington, Samong, Hammond and Mulika. The fire has been brought under control by 45%, the Forest Fire Department announced on Monday morning. Forest Fire Department crews will continue to conduct firefighting operations throughout the day to help contain the fire, officials say. There are also several closed roads:
Route 206 – from Chew Road to Stokes Road
Route 542 – from Green Bank Road to Columbia Road
