A road and railway track cross the dam, and it is clear from Maxar’s photos that they have been cut. But the BBC has not independently assessed the extent of the damage. Ukraine and Russia have accused each other of planning to breach the dam with explosives. It is located 58 kilometers (36 mi) northeast of the city of Kherson.
