Northumbria police said an ambulance service alerted police shortly before 2:30 p.m. today (Monday) that a man had been injured on St Hilda’s Holy Cross. He said: “The emergency services came and found a 43-year-old man who had suffered serious injuries. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene. “The victim’s closest relatives have been informed and are being supported by specialist family liaison officers at the moment. As part of the investigation, three male teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently being held by police.
