Police are investigating a theft of copper wire after it stopped a vehicle on a hiking trail in Corner Brook. The RNC spotted the vehicle moving along the trail downtown around 3:30 a.m. Monday. Further research led to the discovery of various lengths of copper wire and wire cutting tools. The driver was taken into custody pending further investigation and issued a ticket under the Traffic Act.
