Update Suspicious Package Discovered At Confederation Street Business

Sarnia Police are investigating the discovery of a suspicious package. Police were alerted around 6:40 a.m. Thursday by an employee at a business on Confederation Street who found a package when he arrived at work and immediately contacted police. Confederation Street was closed between Murphy Street and Trudeau Drive. Police said the barricades were removed shortly before 1 p.m Few details have been released, but police said members of the OPP bomb squad were assisting in the investigation.
