The vehicle collision that closed Highway 144 between Dowling and Onaping Falls was fatal. An OPP media bulletin states that the incident occurred at around 13:30 today and involved two vehicles. The preliminary investigation revealed that a professional motor vehicle and a passenger vehicle were involved in the collision and that one of the vehicles caught fire. The driver of the passenger vehicle was found dead on the spot. Their name will not be made public until their relatives are notified.
