Robbery with a firearm (restricted or prohibited) Making threats to cause death or bodily harm Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibitory order (two counts) Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose Firearm display Carrying a concealed weapon Failure to comply with suspension order (two counts)

He was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

Police have seized the weapon involved in the incident and said the investigation is ongoing. Original post NEWS RELEASE ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE ***************** A 911 call to the OPP Communications Center on November 11, 2022 at approximately 7:21 p.m. from a King Street , Midland store clerk reporting a robbery with an alleged firearm resulted in a rapid response by officers from the Southern Georgia Bay OPP Detachment. Officers located a single suspect through a search and proceeded to make an arrest at gunpoint in a nearby Highway 12 retail parking lot at approximately 7:29 p.m. were assisted by members of the OPP Central District Canine Unit and members of the Emergency Response Team during and after the incident. A 33-year-old Midland man is currently in police custody pending a bail hearing on multiple firearms and robbery charges. Investigators advise that there is no risk to public safety and the incident remains under investigation, with further information to be released as it becomes available.
