Police say the man’s death came from an obvious gunshot wound he sustained. “There is no continuing threat to public safety,” said Campbell River RCMP Cst. Maury Tire. “Our officers will continue the search throughout the night and provide the public with further information when it is prudent to do so.” A spokesman for the British Columbia Emergency Health Service initially confirmed the double shot to CHEK News, saying paramedics were called at 3:37 p.m. on Tuesday.
