Murder detectives continue to question a 37-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder. It is known in the Chinese family. The mother is the 15th woman to be killed in an act of violence in London so far in 2022 – a third of the 46 homicides investigated by the Met, the British Transport Police and the City of London. The proportion is higher than the same period last year, when 13 of the 58 victims were women.
