Police say they were called to a robbery at a pawn shop located near Queen Street West and Gladstone Avenue at 5:18 p.m. A Toronto police spokesperson said at least three suspects are involved and are currently locked inside the store. The police negotiation team has arrived at the scene and “will receive a slow and measured response”, the spokesman said. The owners and customers of the store were able to leave and are safe and accounted for, police say. Police say a perimeter has been set up and road closures in the area are in effect.
