Officers were called to the scene in Alfred Street, Swindon shortly after 2pm following reports of a disturbance between Manchester Road and Alfred Street, where they currently remain. A man was arrested on suspicion of GBH at the scene and is on his way to custody in Gablecross. Three people have suffered stab wounds during the incident – none of which are believed to be serious. Inspector Steve Love said: “We do not believe this is a random attack, although it is very early stages of our investigation. “Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area while inquiries are carried out this evening and over the coming days. If you have any concerns please speak to an officer.” An appeal has been made for anyone who saw what happened to come forward. A spokesman for the force said: “Anyone who saw the incident should call 101 and quote reference number 195 of November 13. “Alternatively, call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
