WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY: THREAT OF A GREAT STORM WITH STRONG WINDS AND A LARGE HAIL
There is a widespread threat of thunderstorms across the Meadow on Wednesday, with some areas at increased risk of strong thunderstorms. “From Calgary to just south of Edmonton, there is a risk of thunderstorms that could cause strong gusts of wind and hail, up to the size of nickel and grease,” said Matt Grinder, a meteorologist at The Weather Network. Rainy weather continues throughout Manitoba until Saturday. The cold weather will spread east across the area for the weekend, with brief warm-ups early next week, followed by temperatures almost below the season for much of the week.
