Police found the remains last week in a section of the landfill that they had cordoned off to search for Rebecca Contois’s remains. The search of the landfill began on June 2, with police saying they were investigating an area the size of four to six football pitches. The Contois family has been informed of the discovery. The news comes after some of the remains of Contois, 24, were found outside an Edison Avenue apartment building on May 15. Shortly afterwards, police confirmed that Contois was the victim of a “terribly horrific” homicide. Jeremy Anthony Michael Skibicki, 35, was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the incident. The charge has not been proven in court. Homicide police officers are continuing their investigation. – Files by Charles Lefebvre and Josh Crabb of CTV.
