Queen Elizabeth was seen without a cane or an assistant of any kind on Tuesday as she met the Archbishop of Canterbury on a surprise trip to the ailing monarch. According Express UK, The 96-year-old monarch went out on Tuesday to receive the Canterbury Cross at Windsor Castle for her offering to the Church of England. The engagement, during which she met Archbishop Justin Welby, came as a surprise to many as the Queen missed the Garter Day procession, as well as many events for the Platinum Jubilee and the inauguration of Parliament in recent months. Queen Elizabeth withdrew from her Jubilee celebrations after complaining of “annoyance” and was later seen using what appeared to be a crutch during Garter Day. This meant that concerns about her health and mobility continued to escalate. Therefore, this last outing proved to be a welcome respite for lovers of the royal family, as they saw the Queen go without an assistant as she met the archbishop.
