(Jonathon Hurley, file photo.) One of two men accused of stabbing a homeowner during two violent home invasions in late September has been released on bail. Jonathan Hurley, 32, who famously gave the court two middle fingers after his arrest, clapped his hands in satisfaction as he heard Judge Bruce Short’s decision in the provincial court yesterday. Evidence at a bail hearing, including the judge’s remarks, is prohibited from publication. (Justin Haynes, file photo.) Hurley and 32-year-old Justin Haynes are accused of two random home invasions on the night of Sept. 12. They happened in St. where an elderly couple rioted. The stabbing victim, Jon Wells, was left in serious condition but continues to recover. Haynes remains in custody with a Nov. 29 court date. Hurley, who is under strict house arrest, is due back in court on December 19. Both face charges of aggravated assault, home invasion, breaking and entering, assault with a weapon and robbery.
