England’s players arrived at St George’s Park before traveling to Qatar for their first World Cup with Iran in a week, as they swap the mist and fog of Burton for the sunny 30C climate of Doha.
The Three Lions stars appeared to be in good spirits as they greeted each other at England’s training ground, excited to represent their country at this month’s tournament.
James Maddison showed no discomfort from the injury he picked up in Leicester’s win over West Ham on Saturday and looked happy to be back at the Burton base.

Callum Wilson was also all smiles thanks to his current selection for England’s World Cup squad ahead of Ivan Toney and Tammy Abraham.

Grealish’s current City team-mates Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips were also happy to join in the celebrations, despite both missing time through injury this season. However, both are expected to be ready for selection in Qatar.

The team will travel to Doha tomorrow, before the first training session begins on Wednesday followed by media duties on Sunday.
England then begin their World Cup campaign against Iran on Monday, kick-off at 1pm, leaving many fans scrambling to see how they can watch Gareth Southgate’s men open their tournament.
They will then face the USA and Wales in Group B, the only World Cup group to feature three teams in the top 20 of the FIFA rankings.
The players will return to Premier League action on Boxing Day, just eight days after the World Cup Final takes place.
