The Thunder Bay Health Unit and Thunder Bay City announced Monday that the Pioneer Ridge epidemic in Jasper Drive has ended. COVID-19 had infected residents or staff in the Plaza 1 area of the 150-bed nursing home in the city. The outbreak was first announced on May 31. According to the latest TBDHU data, there remains only one active outbreak among high-risk areas in the Thunder Bay area.
