This is true! A pair of Birkenstock Arizona brown suede leather sandals once worn by Steve Jobs is currently up for online auction at Julien’s Auctions. The shoes were part of Jobs’ famous uniform.
However, this particular piece of Steve Jobs memorabilia isn’t exactly in mint condition. Julien’s Auctions said the “cork and jute sole retains the impression of Steve Jobs’ feet” and that the sandal’s rubber soles “show heavy wear” from Jobs wearing them on a daily basis.

According to Julienslive.com, bidding topped $22,500 — with the auction house expecting a final bid of between $60,000 and $80,000.
The auction house said the businessman wore these sandals for a long time between the 1970s and 80s.
Job’s Birkenstock sandals have participated in many exhibitions in the past, such as Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy in 2017, Birkenstock headquarters in Rahms, Germany in 2017, Birkenstock’s first store in the United States in SoHo, New York , at IMM Cologne, a furniture fair in Cologne, Germany, Zeit Event Berlin for Die Zeit magazine in 2018 and most recently with the Württemberg History Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.
The winner will also receive a free NFT from Sandals.

During the sandal show with the Birkenstock company, Jobs’ ex-partner and mother of Steve Jobs’ first child, Lisa Brennan-Jobs, Chrisann Brennan was moved and excited to be reunited and holding Steve Jobs’ iconic sandals. In an interview with Vogue titled “Apple Meets Birkenstock,” Brennan says:
“Sandals were part of his casual side. It was his uniform. The great thing about a uniform is that you don’t have to worry about what you’re going to wear in the morning.” He added, “He would never have done or bought anything just to stand out. He was simply convinced of the cleverness and practicality of the design and the comfort of wearing it. And in Birkenstocks he didn’t feel like an entrepreneur, so he had the freedom to think creatively.”

The first iPhone was introduced by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs on January 9, 2007. The device went on sale five months after its launch. The introduction of the phone is considered to be a game changer in the smartphone industry.
