Emergency services were called to an area just west of Tidworth at 10.45am. on Tuesday. The 26-year-old man “suffered serious head injuries and unfortunately died on the spot,” Wiltshire police said. He was a member of The Rifles 5th Battalion and his family is supported by a special family liaison officer. The force is investigating along with the army and the Health and Safety officer.
