A 13-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after the incident in Seymour Park, Old Traffford, yesterday afternoon (Saturday, June 18).  A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault, and Wider Manchester (GMP) police have confirmed that another 13-year-old boy has since been arrested on suspicion of assault. 

Officers will be authorized to use Unit 60 stop and search powers in Seymour Park today, as well as on nearby roads such as Ayres Road, Humphrey Road, Northumberland Road and Seymour Grove. Article 60 of the Law on Criminal Justice and Public Order allows officers to stop and investigate anyone in the area, even without suspicion.
