Liverpool matches in the Premier League 2022-23
Santo Mane admitted that as soon as he learned of interest from Bayern Munich, his heart moved.
The Liverpool forward is now understood to have completed his medical and is now a Bayern player for all intents and purposes. His move completes a brilliant six-year tenure at Anfield that has led him to lift almost every honor at his disposal.
But with just 12 months left on his current deal, the 30-year-old made it clear to Kop bosses that he was looking for a move, with Bayern always expected to be the first. And after seeing their two opening bids rejected outright, the German champions finally reached an agreement that would make them spend 27 27.1m initially on the Senegalese amulet.

This could amount to, 35.1 million if the extras are met and although no club has officially announced the deal, it has been identified with Bayern’s equipment and has completed its first press conference in the country where it will now conduct his trade.
Manet also revealed that Bayern’s approach was very difficult to reject and that the idea of playing for another European heavyweight was the kind of project in which he seized the opportunity to participate.
“When my agent first told me about Bayern’s interest, I was immediately excited,” said Manet. BILD. “I saw myself there right away. “It is one of the biggest clubs in the world and the team is always fighting for every title. So for me it was a very good idea and right decision to come here.

“My agent told me there were questions from other clubs. That’s part of the job. But I felt immediately when Bayern presented me with their plan. I was more in Bayern’s plan than anyone else.”
Mane’s last game with the Liverpool shirt was the defeat in the Champions League final last month by Real Madrid. And having lifted the trophy once with the Reds, he now wants to do the same with the 2020 winners.
Asked if he would win the biggest prize in Europe again, he added: “I do not want to say no. Every kid wants to win the Champions League, every footballer in the world. I’m with a very, very competitive team now.

“But it is still a little early to talk about the Champions League final, we have not played a single game together yet. However, we will do our best to reach the final.”
His arrival at the Allianz comes at a time of uncertainty for the club’s most important player, Robert Lewandowski. Like Mane at Merseyside, the Polish international has said he will not extend his contract and would like to leave – with Barcelona desperately wanting to land the striker.
But Mane suggested that Lewnadowski’s epic had not played much in his mind, with his full attention to winning titles with the players who would stay. “I am not a player who focuses on such things. I am here for Bayern. And I will do everything to win titles with my teammates!”
