A potential connection has now been made. A survey by the Organized Crime and Corruption Report and Meduza News website found a group of 86 seemingly unrelated companies or nonprofits that appear to own assets worth more than $ 4.5 billion ($ 3.7 billion). Email address, LLCInvest.ru, appears to be in use. The assets apparently owned by the agencies include a number of luxury homes, yachts and vineyards previously linked to media reports with the Russian president. The telecommunications company that hosts the domain name on its servers is closely linked to Bank Rossiya, which is described by the US Treasury Department as “the personal bank for senior officials of the Russian Federation”. None of the individuals or entities associated with the email domain name commented or provided an explanation for the link when contacted. There is no indication that all LLCInvest.ru users are involved in the management of assets linked to Putin’s reports. The purpose of the email service or the motivation for obvious cooperation in matters of staff and logistics is not clear. A Kremlin spokesman said: “The president of the Russian Federation is not and is not affiliated in any way with the assets and organizations you mentioned.” Additional appropriations: Map of Pablo Gutiérrez and Seán Clarke.
