NASIL, TN – Former President Donald Trump has teased crowds across the country by saying he may run for president again in 2024. Asked if he believed the Republican field for 2024 was frozen until Trump decided, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News “I do not.” “President Trump was perfect, perfect for 2016. We needed that kind of upset,” Pompeo said. “If I conclude that I am the right person to carry this cloak forward, I will go and try to do that to the American people, starting with the great state of Iowa.” Pompeo, Trump and former United Nations Ambassador Nicki Haley delivered keynote speeches at the three-day Coalition for Faith and Freedom Conference on the Road to Majority in Nashville. When asked about 2024, Pompeo and Hailey said they focused on helping Republicans win congressional and county rallies across the country and would formally decide their own political future after the midterm elections. “I do not think I have to make that decision until next year,” Haley told Fox News. “I have never lost a match. I am not going to start now. If there is a place for me, I will put 1000% and we will finish it.” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gestures to a journalist as he counts votes in the US election during a press briefing on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at the State Department in Washington. He is always welcome here. He was invited this year. He will be invited back next year and will be invited back every year.” STANFORD, California – FEB. 17: Former Vice President Mike Pence speaks at Stanford University Dinkelspel Amphitheater on Thursday, February 17, 2022 in Stanford, California.
