Reports Say Two People Are Dead After An Explosion At An Oil And Gas Construction Site Near Slave Lake

The Edmonton Journal reports that two workers have been killed after an explosion at an oil and gas site near Slave Lake in northern Alberta. The information was confirmed to the newspaper by the Alberta Ministry of Labour, Economy and Northern Development. The victims were contractors working at the Tamarack Valley Energy site. The Edmonton Journal reports that the well has been shut down pending investigations by the employer and Occupational Health and Safety.
