-ONE Larger font Increase the font size of the article A + Newfoundland police have issued an arrest warrant for a man also wanted in Alberta on charges including illegal possession of a firearm. The RCMP in Bonavista, NL, claims that 32-year-old Daniel McDonald left police after being pulled over during a routine traffic jam on Friday while driving a red Ford truck towing a trailer. A RCMP news release on Sunday claims that McDonald’s left quickly when an officer recognized him and that someone climbed out of the back window of his truck to unhook the trailer.

The RCMP says the trailer was dismantled and crashed into a telephone pole and was later found to contain two stolen all-terrain vehicles. Trending Stories

McDonald is described as 6’2 ″ tall, 218 pounds, with a skull tattoo on his left forearm and a scar near his eyes. He was last seen driving a red, four-door 2014 Ford F150 with sunroof, the word “security” on the side of the truck, with an Alberta license plate. The front grille, taillights and Ford symbol on the tailgate were all blackened. They say McDonald is known to carry firearms in his truck and that people should not approach him. © 2022 The Canadian Press
