Mark Pearson was driving between Pwllheli and Bangor in Wales last Tuesday when he heard a loud bang on the outskirts of Nefyn. The 46-year-old said that after hearing the sound, he checked his mirror, but could not see anything and continued driving to work. Hours later, a colleague told him he had a rabbit stuck in his bumper. In a post on his Facebook page, Pearson said he was afraid he would find “half a rabbit.” “I was surprised to find out that this lucky man had gone through the mask and was trapped in a closed apartment. “We really could not understand how he got there until we realized that the grill was broken and so he hit it, passed it and the plastic returned to its place. “I did not know whether to call RAC or RSPCA.” Pearson, who is from Pwllheli, said he then went into “Operation Bugs” mode, removing the grill to try to detach the rabbit. He said he had to “fight” with the rabbit to catch it from behind, but managed to free the animal without harming it. “Apart from a little dry nosebleed, it looked uninjured,” he said, leaving the rabbit in a “Shangri-la forest” near Parc Menai in Bangor. Pearson added that some people said he should have returned the rabbit to where it struck, but when he returned to find it, he had run.
