Power Has Been Restored To The Most Central Areas Of Avalon After A Brief Outage

A widespread but brief power outage left thousands in the dark briefly this morning. Power was knocked out from central Newfoundland to the Avalon Peninsula, including the metro, but service has since been restored to most areas. NL Hydro says this morning’s outage was the result of an issue being addressed with the Maritime Link. They say power has been restored to most customers and work is underway to restore power to everyone.
