The incident happened at around 11pm, the victim was in an alley in Wood Farm Road Park when he was approached by a group of up to four men. He was hit several times by the group and suffered a stab wound to the leg and contacted South Central Ambulance Service. The victim was also hit in the face, causing a broken tooth. He was taken to hospital, where he remains at this time, although his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing. The perpetrators are described as white and aged between 16 and 18. They were all shorter than the victim, who is 5ft 9in tall. Investigating officer Sergeant Peter Warne, of Oxford CID, said: “At this stage, we have not made any arrests, but we are confident that this incident is not linked to an ongoing murder investigation in Jericho. “It is understandable that this incident will cause concern in the local community, but we are stepping up patrols in the area and you are likely to see an increased police presence in the area while the investigation is ongoing.
