Photo: Castanet Staff Police in Merritt are investigating a series of shootings Tuesday morning. Mounties said they were alerted to “multiple shots fired” in the Merritt, Coldwater and Mamette Lake Road areas between 5 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. RCMP Sgt. Josh Ronda said investigators believe all of the incidents are related and targeted. “We are actively investigating what happened,” he said. “We do not believe there is any further risk to the public and we will have a significant police presence in these areas as we move forward with the investigation.” Anyone with information can call Merritt RCMP at 250-378-4262.
