Summerland’s new council will review final concept designs of waterfront plans for Gordon Beggs Rotary Beach, Peach Orchard Beach and Horse Beach on Monday, deciding whether it is the right guideline for future work. Schools in eight of Guangzhou’s 11 districts moved classes online for most students starting Thursday. In recent days, more parts of the city have ordered people to stay home and non-essential businesses to close. “As things stand, it is hard to say whether Guangzhou will repeat the Shanghai experience this spring,” Nomura’s chief China economist Ting Lu and a team said in a note late Wednesday....

There was a decrease in the price of natural gas this morning, but all other fuels remain unchanged. Petrol is down almost 9.8 cents a litre. That, after natural gas rose 5.3 cents on Thursday. PUB says the price drop reflects the average reference price after yesterday’s tactical adjustment.
