One person suffered minor injuries during an early morning house fire in Grand Falls-Windsor. At around 6:00am, firefighters were called to a house fire on Monchy Street where a blaze had broken out in an upstairs bedroom. Weather conditions slowed crews’ response, but Fire Chief Vince MacKenzie says they were able to bring the fire under control within six minutes of arriving. The occupant of the home was injured while fleeing and was taken to hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be serious. 24 @towngfw firefighters responded to a house fire in Monchy Road at 6am on Sunday.
