Shraddha’s friends and the couple’s former landlords in Vasai near Mumbai also told NDTV that they had regular arguments, mostly over suspicions that they were cheating on each other.

Cops from Vasai initially called Aftab in for questioning and later linked up with the Delhi Police as suspicions grew. Aftab was recently fired from his job in Gurugram for being absent without leave, police sources said.
It has led researchers to some bones in the Mehrauli jungle. Police said they have sent these and her father’s DNA samples to a forensic laboratory to check if the bones are Shraddha’s. Some blood stains have also been found from the apartment, sources said.
However, key elements remain to be gathered, such as the knife he used. the victim’s severed head or any other identifiable part of the body; the clothes he was wearing that day. or her phone that Aftab threw away either in Maharashtra or Delhi. He changes his statements, so the police plan to take a lie detector test. A psychiatrist has also been hired to assist during the interrogation.
