Now, with his new London-based Nothing company, Pei is making all the right moves to create curiosity around the long-awaited Nothing Phone (1). It now offers 100 limited edition units (1) on StockX, three weeks before its July 12th worldwide release. Pei is convinced that people are bidding for a phone that has not been released and also, there is no official information about what the internal hardware is. Well, it looks like the company’s well-publicized auction worked. No phones (1) have received the highest bid of $ 2,679 (approximately 2,09,832). It should be noted that the device is expected to be a mid-range device and based on the storage variants, its price is likely to range between Rs 25,000 and Rs 39,999. The railing around the edge is said to be made of recycled durable aluminum. It will also be powered by Qualcomm chipset and the news is that the device may be accompanied by the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 series silicon. And, it will run an operating system based on Android 12. Earlier this week, the company unveiled a Glyph user interface with customization options for alerts and ringtones. The back has a transparent glass shell and is fastened with multiple LEDs. It will offer personalized light alerts in sync with 10 different ringtones and alert options. With three weeks left before the official release, we expect the company to show more key features in the coming days.
