The young boy is said to have been discovered on Sunday in a brown garden litter box in Grimsby. A nearby resident said they heard cries from the bucket on Winchester Avenue and opened the lid to find the baby among a bunch of cut grass. Emergency services rushed to the scene around 5pm on Sunday and police conducted door-to-door searches. Both the baby and his mother are now being cared for in the hospital, according to Grimsby Live. Referring to the mother, a local resident said: “We only hope she receives the care she needs and her baby.” An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said they received a call at 4:58 p.m. on June 19 at a private address in Grimsby. “The caller reported a medical emergency,” the spokesman said. “We sent two ambulance crews and two patients were taken to Diana Hospital, Princess of Wales Hospital.” Humberside police said officers went to a property on Winchester Avenue following a report on “safety concerns” on June 19. They added that “assistance was provided to those interested”.
