Backyard surveillance footage shows the events of April 24, when six-year-old Dominick Justino Krankall suffered second- and third-degree burns while playing with other children in Bridgeport. The video was released after police concluded that there was no wrongdoing in the case and shows a group of boys, including Dominic, throwing a soccer ball with gasoline, setting it on fire and then kicking it in the yard. “They were interacting in the yard when they were boys,” said Laura Giacobbe, who posted the video after her sons were accused of bullying Dominick in an interview with WFSB-TV. The mother and other family members claimed that the other boys had lit a ball soaked in gasoline and thrown it in Dominic’s face – a scene that the recently released video does not depict. Rua also claimed that her son had been terrorized by their eight-year-old neighbor and 11-year-old brother for more than a year, without naming the children. “These children are bullies and physically abusive. They even threatened to set me on fire. “They are angry children and they will hurt someone,” he said at the time. The case has garnered nationwide attention, and a GoFundMe page about Dominick – which strongly promotes allegations of family bullying – has raised more than $ 500,000. There was even a parade of first responders in honor of Dominick as he recovered in the hospital and the young boy was invited to the stadium before a New York Yankees match. Although the moment when Dominick catches fire is not shown in the video, the video seems to show one of the neighbor’s boys filling a cup with gasoline, lowering it and setting it on fire. Dominic appears to be approaching the area with the cup off screen and then stumbling back into the frame with his sails burning. One of the neighbor’s boys tries to put out the flames on his face. “Dominic was not left there to die. “My 11-year-old son Lorenzo rescued him, took his bare hands and put out the fire in his face,” Giacobbe said. Giacobbe said she was not home at the time, but her upstairs neighbor, Rua, was allegedly watching their four boys. Neighboring mother Giacobbe (above with her son’s father) says video evidence proves that the bullying allegations were fabricated The photos show that Dominic has recovered well from the horrible ordeal Dominic, who loves to be outdoors, is photographed smiling after making a big capture in a photo taken a few days before he was seriously burned. Giacobbe’s family lawyer says they are even considering legal action after allegations of intimidation sparked a frenzy of threats from an online mob. “The police station had to sit in front of the house all night to make sure nothing happened. “It is said that the house would catch fire, they would drag my son and me to the street and let us suffer from the pain,” said Giacombe. However, Dominic’s family says that their information was based on what the boy told them about the incident and pointed out that the video does not show key moments of the incident. Photos of Dominick posted by the hospital this week show he is well healed from the incident, with only a few red marks appearing on his forehead.
