Ms Snowton said: “She sneaked him into her house, letting him go through her garden early in the morning to avoid social services or put him in hiding under the bed.” Authorities’ suspicions grew further when Campbell became pregnant and then gave birth to the boy’s baby. In a vicious move, she then tried to avoid questions about her own abuse of the boy, falsely claiming that he had raped her. He was taken to a police station for questioning, but after hearing his interview and seeing inconsistencies in Campbell’s account, police stopped the investigation. Investigations into Campbell’s behavior then continued to grow until it was announced last year. Even after that, Campbell made one last attempt to evade justice. After the start of her trial, she violated the bail by fleeing. The court found her guilty in absentia and she was later arrested on a warrant and held in jail. She cried in court as the judge sentenced her to nine and a half years in prison. Read more related articles Read more related articles
