Julie Davies arrived at Barcelona airport late this morning accompanied by her son Nathan to meet the police and local authorities and watch Levi’s last steps. She cried tonight as she emerged from a three-hour meeting with police and British consulate officials, who told her there had been no further sightings of her son. Former Bath rugby union star Levi has not been seen since October 29, when he left friends in Ibiza and caught a ferry to Barcelona alone. Wiping away a tear, an exhausted Mrs Davies told MailOnline: ‘There is no record of Levi leaving Spain, via airports or ferry ports. Police are checking CCTV on the route they followed, but have yet to make a breakthrough. “It’s a long, long process but the police are extremely helpful in doing what they can and are following all possibilities all the time. Although it is very late, we are still optimistic. “I’m very tired and feeling a bit dizzy, which I think is more mental fatigue than anything else, but that’s the least of my worries. “I gave the police as much information as possible, Levi’s phone number, his bank account details, anything that can be checked. Authorities are also checking DNA samples. “We hope to meet with the officers again tomorrow. He was caught on the pub’s CCTV leaving the venue at 10.05pm, carrying a small black rucksack and wearing a white T-shirt, black trousers and black and white trainers. The barman who served him said today that the 24-year-old walked in at around 9.35pm and stayed for just half an hour drinking a pint of Heineken and watching the Leeds v Liverpool game on TV. He said he was alone but seemed like a ‘normal person in a pub’ before leaving alone and heading towards the quieter end of La Rambla away from the nightclubs. He seemed perfectly normal, I can’t tell what frame of mind he was in, but he didn’t seem particularly upset or particularly happy to me. He ordered a beer, a pint of Heineken, and sat in the pub watching football. “I was bartending and I couldn’t see if he was talking to other customers. I don’t think it was. He entered alone and left alone. “He wasn’t in long, just half an hour, and he left the bar, turned right and headed for the quieter end of La Rambla, away from the noisier bars and nightclubs. “That was the only time I saw him. He didn’t appear to be drunk, he spoke perfectly, he was just a normal person in a pub. “I don’t know where he went next and I don’t know why he went into that pub, maybe it was to watch football or see the live band we had as it was Celebrity X Factor back in the UK. “We hope he is well and will be in touch with his family soon.” Levi starred on Celebrity X Factor in 2019 alongside fellow rugby stars Ben Foden and Thom Evans in a singing group known as Try Star. He was also on E4’s Celebs Go Dating in 2020.
