The former health secretary, 44, and his 23-year-old co-star Owen Warner, who plays Romeo Nightingale in Hollyoaks, were voted by the public to do Friday’s trial. They quickly discovered that they would be up against a jungle-themed version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? given the modified name Who wants to look stupid on air? Image: Owen Warner (L) and Matt Hancock won five out of 11 stars in the challenge After learning of the public vote, Mr Hancock laughed and said: “That was the most predictable result. It’s called stupid on the air, then it’ll be me.” The remaining teammates watched as the trial began, with presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly explaining that they would need to secure 11 stars to feed the entire camp. The co-hosts asked them six multiple choice questions with 60 seconds to answer each and the help of various lifeguards. Contestants were doused in brown sauce when they failed to answer who plays Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films – before using the Ask The Hosts lifeline to get McPartlin to correctly answer Gary Oldman. The pair also called the Sue Cleaver camp for help using the Phone A Friend lifeline, with a question about the year Coronation Street started. Unfortunately for Cleaver, she was drenched during the call, prompting Warner to shout, “Leave Sue alone!” After getting more questions wrong, the pair continued to be hit with feathers, cream and other dark substances before the challenge ended and they were told they had only earned five out of 11 stars. He (Matt) was doing well until you put me in his team.” The ordeal is not over for Mr Hancock yet, with Ant and Dec announcing that the public have voted the MP to take part in the next challenge, House of Horrors – marking his fifth consecutive trial since taking part on the show on Wednesday. The news was met with laughter from the contestants as well as supportive comments. Image: Matt Hancock has been voted into every bushtucker trial since joining the show. Speaking to host Charlene White, he recalled his early fashion choices, saying: “My mum used to say (to my dad), ‘Look at what he’s wearing.’ “And my dad would take his paper (and put it down to look at) and say, ‘If he wants to get hit, let him get out.’ And you know that?’
