The seven people were shot at around 10pm as a family had a barbecue outside a house with many children inside, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus told reporters during a news conference.
McManus said an unspecified number of people passed through the house and “unloaded” between 20 and 30 laps. Two of the victims are women and the other five are men. Their ages range between 20 and a half forty, he told reporters.
He also revealed that six children were inside the house as shots were fired, but were not injured.
“Fortunately, he was not ahead,” he said.
McManus said police had no description of the suspects and that they had “some theories” about the motive for the shooting, and warned that the investigation was in its early stages.
“Currently, seven people shot in front of the house and had a barbecue, led to the road, multiple shots, two dead, five wounded. “Two females, five males”, he summed it up. “Two men dead.”
