Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash at junction 18 of the M62 yesterday afternoon (Tuesday), where the road joins the M60. Police found that the rider of a Yamaha motorcycle lost control as he was driving on the east road of the M62, police said. The rider – a 60-year-old man – was rushed to hospital from the scene. A short time later, his tragic death was confirmed. Conflict investigators are now calling for witnesses to witness the crash – which took place around 2.50pm. In a statement, a GMP spokesman said: “At around 2.50pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, we received a report of a collision at junction 18 of the M60 and M62. Investigations revealed that the rider of a Yamaha motorcycle lost control. vehicle as it entered the east slide of the M62. “The rider, a man in his 60s, was taken to the hospital where he was unfortunately pronounced dead.
