A man has been arrested after a five-year-old boy and a woman believed to be his mother were found stabbed to death in a home in north London. Police were called to an address in Brookside South, Barnet at 1:37 p.m. on Tuesday by the London Ambulance Service. Paramedics and police arrived and found a 37-year-old woman and a boy, believed to be five years old, with stab wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation has been launched by the chief detective of the Met’s Special Crimes Administration and a 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police confirmed that the detainee and the deceased knew each other. The medical examiners were at the property on Tuesday afternoon. A mother who lives near the victims said she cried after realizing that the neighbors had died. At the scene of the police cordon, Becky, 39, who did not give her last name, said of her neighbors: “My God, it’s just shocking, it really is. “Yes, I knew the family – nice, quiet Chinese family, from China. I’m bad with names. On-site forensic police officers / ΠΑ “I am a mother of two girls, of a similar age (with the child victim), they have never played but they have met again. “I cried so much, especially earlier when I heard a child was involved, it was devastating.” A mother of two said the deaths on her way had made her feel scared. Rummana Chowdhury, 37, said of the knife incident: “I do not know them, it is definitely very sad, it is a shame. “I can not believe it, it’s unbelievable. “It’s scary and sad too because this morning everything was fine and all of a sudden it happened.” Another woman, who also lives in Brookside South but did not give her name, added: “I do not know them, but I saw them go to school with their children.” Chief Superintendent Sarah Leach, Police Chief for the Northwest, including Barnett, said: “The whole community will be shocked and saddened to hear of this horrific incident. “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman and child who died, as well as with the police and paramedics who arrived first in an incredibly provocative scene. “Detective experts are working to find out what happened and a man is in custody.
