A woman, who police said is a juvenile, was also arrested at that time. It is unknown if she was inside the school at any point.

He is seen kneeling in front of the officers with his hands behind his head. The video also shows the woman, wearing a black shirt, gray jacket and green cargo pants, also on her knees. A policeman pulls her hands behind her back, presumably to handcuff her. Police have not confirmed whether the suspects are connected to the college. Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu police have set up a security perimeter around the college and the public is being asked to stay away from the site, including students and parents. According to police officer Barbara-Anne Dion, it is too early to rule out other suspects. No injuries were reported and no shots were fired. Beaudoin said all school activities will be canceled for the rest of the day. Vanessa Nadeau, 17, was on her way to school for a 10 a.m. class when the lockdown took place. Speaking to CTV News about college, she said she’s been texting her friends stuck in to make sure she’s okay. “We want to wait [here] because we want to make sure they’re OK,” he said. Her friend, Jolyane Oligny, said she was in a class with the man who was arrested about an hour before the lockdown began. He remembered talking to him during a five-minute break. “We talked about how the exam went,” he recalls. “I didn’t see him after that.”
