Some streets and sidewalks were closed Sunday (November 13) so a helicopter could carry heavy signage atop the Canadian Western Bank (CWB) at its new headquarters near Georgia and Thurlow streets. In total, the helicopter carried four pieces of large-scale LED signage for the company, which it carried from Coal Harbor to the top of the CWB building. The largest of the four pieces weighs 6000 pounds and it took eight flights to transport the four loads. Each flight lasted between 10 and 15 minutes over a period of about three hours. Check out some photos and videos from the display.
