Fantastic idea in many ways!”, he tweeted. Zack Czajkowski, a field organizer for former President Obama’s re-election campaign and regional polling director for former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, also supported the idea. “Why not Liz Cheney as Speaker of the House in Transition. She will infuriate Democrats and Republicans alike. She is a responsible adult with a conservative voting record, a proven ability to work across the aisle, and most importantly, unwavering morals courage pressure,” Czajkowski tweeted. The idea was not warmly approved by others. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said Cheney will be looking for a job soon, but it shouldn’t be one in Congress. Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign, said Cheney should never be speaker of the House. “These people are living in an episode of The West Wing while 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, can’t afford medical care, and struggle to put food on the table. Cheney said at a Nov. 11 event at the University of Chicago that she could see a situation in which some GOP members vote for former President Trump as speaker of the House because someone from outside Congress can be elected to the position. You don’t have to be a member of the House to be speaker,” Cheney said. “If Republicans start standing up and saying Donald Trump, you could have an impact where a lot of people say that and Donald Trump starts to see it as a kind of test of faith.
