“We called on her to step down in July of last year, 2021, right after we entered the race, recognizing that there’s a significant moral problem there. Obviously, just the perspective of it looks bad. And she didn’t do that,” Kari Lake told ” Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. “Even though a lot of people were calling for her to step down, she’s causing problems to say the least,” Lake continued. Lake is up against Democrat Katie Hobbs, Arizona’s secretary of state, who currently has about 34,000 more votes than Lake with more than 88 percent of the vote counted. The state has been counting ballots since Tuesday night and has yet to determine the winner of the gubernatorial election. She has a lot to do with registration, voter registration, all kinds of … voter rolls and advising the counties on how many ballots they’re going to need,” Lake explained. We start voting about a month before Election Day and we keep counting after Election Day — forever. And we’re in the process of counting votes and there’s about 300,000 ballots that haven’t been counted, that’s according to the county recorder,” he said.
