Banks

As the Federal Reserve reserves its hold on June 4, most banks will be closed, including Bank of America, Wells Fargo and JP Morgan. However, TD Bank will be closed on Sunday, as is their regular schedule, and will be open on Monday.

US financial markets

Wall Street will celebrate on Monday. The New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq will remain closed and will not have active trading hours.

School and government agencies

All federal offices and schools will be closed on Monday. However, not every state recognizes June as a public holiday, which means that some government offices may remain open. States that do not currently recognize Juneteenth as a public holiday include Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Retail

Most shops and restaurants will be open in June for regular hours. Nike has confirmed to Axios that it will close its retail and distribution centers on Sunday and its headquarters on Monday. Nike, Target and Best Buy were among the stores that made the Juneteenth corporate holiday break in 2020. Although the headquarters of companies such as Apple, Twitter, Target, Lyft and Zillow will be closed on Monday, retail stores and services will be operating on a regular basis.
