Ivanka Trump has sparked criticism and amusement after appearing to remove Kimberly Guilfoyle from a photo taken during Tiffany Trump’s wedding. On Sunday, Ivanka shared an album on Instagram of photos taken during her sister Tiffany’s weekend wedding to Michael Boulos at Mar-a-Lago, the Palm Beach, Florida estate owned by former President Donald Trump . In the first photo, Tiffany, dressed in her wedding dress, smiled alongside her older sister, while another photo showed the 29-year-old walking down the aisle on her father’s arm. In the album, Ivanka also included a photo of herself and her husband Jared Kushner and their three children. In another photo shared on Instagram, Ivanka and Tiffany posed alongside three other women, including their stepmother Melania, who is married to the former president, Tiffany’s mother, Marla Maples, and his brother’s wife Eric Trump, Lara Trump. However, as many later pointed out, the photo actually included a sixth person, Guilfoyle, 53, who is currently engaged to Donald Trump Jr, 44, and who wore a black dress with statement sleeves to his wedding Palm Beach. On social media, Ivanka’s decision to remove Guilfoyle from the photo drew amused reactions, with many calling the editing “brutal”. “Lol Ivanka cropped Kimberly Guilfoyle out of Tiffany’s wedding pics,” one person tweeted, along with the cropped image and the original photo, which showed Guilfoyle standing next to Ivanka. Ivanka Trump also posted the cut version on her Instagram Stories (Instagram / Ivanka Trump) Another person wrote: “One of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time… @IvankaTrump cut @kimguilfoyle from her Instagram post from Tiffany Trump’s wedding.” Others joked that it was Guilfoyle’s choice of outfit that prompted Ivanka to cut it out of the photo she posted, with one person claiming they understood the decision while asking what Guilfoyle was thinking when she chose it for a wedding. “I understand why Ivanka cut out Kimberly Guilfoyle. I really do. No need to explain yourself,” they joked. According to someone else, the edit was more about Guilfoyle’s decision to wear black to the wedding, as the rest of the women in the photo were all dressed in pastel shades, with Ivanka, who was the maid of honor, wearing a copy of blue gown worn by Grace Kelly for the 1955 film To Catch a Thief. Melania also opted for a light color, with the former president’s wife opting for a soft pink dress, while Maples wore a lavender-hued dress and Tiffany’s sister-in-law Lara a shimmery silver dress. “Apparently Kimberly didn’t get the Elsa/Frozen themed memo… so Ivanka had to let her go…” one person joked on Twitter, while another said: “Honestly, I’m taking Ivanka’s side on this one. Kimberly absolutely killed the color scheme.” Others questioned why Guilfoyle chose a black dress for the event, as some claimed it looked like an outfit more suited to a funeral. “Kimberly misread the invitation, thinking she was going to a funeral,” one person tweeted, while another wrote: “Who wears a black dress to an afternoon wedding?! Especially in Florida. Just because someone has money doesn’t mean they’re not cool.” The choice of outfit has prompted some to question whether a black dress is appropriate for a wedding, with one person suggesting that the color choice is inappropriate due to its association with bad luck. However, wedding website The Knot notes that, in general, black is an acceptable color to wear to a wedding. That said, Shawne Jacobs, president and creative director of Anne Barge, said, “It’s important for guests to think about what kind of wedding they’re having before making any decisions about a color and fabric. This will ensure that the guest is dressed appropriately for the formality of the wedding.” While many agreed with Ivanka’s decision to remove Guilfoyle from the wedding photo, the 41-year-old later posted the raw version of the photo to her Instagram Stories, where she added three heart-eye emojis. Ivanka Trump later posted the unedited version to her Instagram Stories (Instagram / Ivanka Trump) “Lol Ivanka takes out Kimberly but then posts the full pic later,” one person tweeted. On her own Instagram Stories, Guilfoyle shared two photos from the wedding. In the first, which Donald Jr also shared, she posed alongside her fiance. He also shared the raw version of the photo Ivanka shared, in which she appeared to be posing next to the former president’s eldest daughter.
