The former Love Island star was due to compete in the current series of the ITV show but had to pull out just 24 hours after joining her fellow contestants, with her reps citing “medical reasons”. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Olivia revealed that a routine blood test found she was “dangerously anemic”, which shocked her as she was “feeling fine” despite being rushed to hospital. Describing the moment as ‘terrifying’, Olivia said: ‘I was like, ‘What the hell have I got into?’ They couldn’t answer me, they just said they had to take me to the hospital right away. “The results were really, really low when they put it on their reader and they consulted another doctor off site. I had those bloods done in England before I left, and they were fine. I was confused and of course very, very worried.” With tests showing Olivia had low sodium and potassium levels, ITV staff decided to take the safe option and not allow her to return to the judging, a decision which left her heartbroken. I tried to keep my emotions in check and keep it in perspective, things could have been a lot worse.” Describing her exit as a ‘punch in the gut’, Olivia said she nevertheless ‘loved’ her short stint on the show, feeling ’empty’ after being told she would not be allowed to return to the camp.
