Yes, for sure, I think from day one [when] I spoke to him to become a member of Liverpool FC I think we had a really, really, really good relationship and [he is] a great manager. He has a heart and also, as I said now, he was dedicated [and that] makes him so special. Of course, it helped me a lot to become the player I am, and the staff and all the boys, the players. And he, as I always said, never stopped working hard as well. You enjoyed an incredible last season at Liverpool, winning two trophies and getting so close to the quadruple. I think all the fans would say it was one of their best and most enjoyable seasons because of the trip you and the boys made to us. Do you feel that way too? Yes definitely. I think it was a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful season. Unfortunately for us, we were so, so close, but of course I still think it was the best season and the [most] a pleasant season I had in Liverpool because I can say that we were almost there to win the quadruple, which would be amazing. But it’s part of football, as I always said it’s behind us, so let’s focus – both sides – on the next one. But for sure, I think it was just an amazing, amazing season anyway, which everyone enjoyed. You have referred to supporters several times during this interview. They love you at Anfield, you have your own song, you have brought so much joy to the fans in recent years. They showed again how much they love this group of players in the parade a few weeks ago. How much will you miss them? Sure, I believe that whoever leaves Liverpool, with these supporters you will always miss because so far [they are] the best in the world and I always said that. especially when [they sing] my name, “Stay! Running under the wing…! ” – I do not know, I can not sing very well! Of course I really liked the time and they, wow… how to say it? Playing at Anfield I think always gives you so much power because of the fans. Well, I’ll definitely miss you guys, but anyway, I love you guys. I still have my home in Liverpool and everything, so I will definitely come back, of course, and one day I would like to go back to Anfield to say hello and of course see Liverpool play because for me, I’m going to be the No.1 Liverpool fan – after the fans! That was actually my next question: Are you a Liverpool fan for a lifetime now? Will you follow the results and the progress of the team? [Laughs] Yes of course! After each game! After every game in Munich I will come to the locker room and I will definitely watch Liverpool, because I will always be the No. 1 Liverpool fan. I just want to say good luck to them and I have an eye for them. And they will definitely be even better because I know the boys: great players, great talent, great maturity and attitude, so of course, Liverpool will always be even better, for sure. You said before that you will return to Anfield one day… who knows, we may see you again soon if Liverpool and Bayern meet in the Champions League… [Laughs] You know the Champions League and how the draw always goes on, it can be done for sure and if it is done it will be done. It’s football and of course I have to come and play. But like I said, Liverpool is Liverpool and we will see. We will see what will happen. Finally, Sadio, you leave Liverpool FC as a legend and one of the best players to ever play for the club. So, on behalf of the club and, I am sure, the supporters who are watching or also reading this interview, thank you for everything you have done for us and we wish you good luck in the future. Thank you. Thanks guys, lots of love yet, do not worry! Goodbye, all the best!
